After three years of raising money for projects in Omokoroa we have decided to choose a charitable cause that is in the wider Bay of Plenty and close to our hearts.  This year all profits will be split between the Tauranga Community Food Bank and the Waihi Beach Surf Life Saving Club.  These are two crucial charities in our community that rely heavily on volunteers and donations so we are excited to be able to support them.

However, as a way of continuing to give back to the Omokoroa community who support us to host this event we have offered a financial incentive to local groups to help with Marshalling the event.  Please say hello as you run or walk past them as they play a key role in ensuring you don’t get lost and are safe out there on the course.

Enter a team for $20 per person with a minimum of 5 people per team.  If you want to give them an added incentive/challenge we have set up a GiveaLittle Page linked to our event so they can get friends, family, colleagues and clients to sponsor them.

We have some awesome prizes to offer your business.  A $250 Honest Platter voucher for the team that raises the most money and a $250 Honest Platter voucher as a spot prize, donated by Inspace.  Office lunch shouts don't get much better than with The Honest Platter!  We also have a full page ad in the Lizard News, kindly donated by them, worth $750 +GST which will be drawn as a spot prizes.  All the money you raise through the GiveaLittle page goes straight to The Waihi Beach Surf Life Saving Club and the Tauranga Community Foodbank - great causes to align your business with.

Due to our event numbers growing this year we are having professional electronic timing of all the running events except the 2km Kids Dash.

Walking events are not timed.

There is more information about how timing works on the FAQ page.

This year we are using a NZ based registration company called EventPlus to streamline our registration and timing.

If you have ever done an event using them before you will have created a log in which will have stored all your information for quick and easy registration.  If not, then it just takes a minute to create a log in.

RACE PACKS and Registration

Our race packs are packed with awesomeness from our very generous sponsors and as such are highly sort after!  However, we only have a limited number so if you want one you gotta register pronto!  This year we have 100 kids packs and 300 adult packs.  So to avoid disappointment get over to our registrations page right now.  If you want to get an idea of whats in them go to our Sponsors and Prizes page and scroll down to have a look at the company's who donate items (we are adding to this all the time too).  Note:  Not all items are in all race packs - the kids ones are different from the adult ones.

Everyone must come to registration before the event to collect thier race pack (if you are allocated one), race number and timing device.  We ask that everyone comes to registration on Saturday between 2-5pm - unless you ABSOLUTELY cant.  You can get a friend or family member to collect it for you.  We will run a brief registration on Sunday morning between 7.30 and 8am but do not have time on event morning to process lots of people so please please try to come on Saturday.  Omokoroa Sports Grounds, Western Ave, Omokoroa.
